For the Artist Edition, we invited Swedish artist Jennie Kombokis to transform eight of our notebooks into original works of art. Each cover has been painted by hand, bringing her expressive linework and distinctive visual language to the tactile surface of the cloth.

Meet the artist
Jennie Kombokis

Jennie Kombokis is a Swedish mixed media artist whose work returns, again and again, to explorations of beauty and identity. She is drawn to Mediterranean rhythms, forms and myths, and weaves them together with her own history and memories.

Her line is fluid and unhurried: faces in profile, suns, waves and spirals that seem to move across the surface. On the Reflection Series, that line found a new home on cloth and board.

GOOD TO KNOW

Is each notebook really one of a kind?

Yes. Every cover is an original painting by Jennie, made by hand directly onto the cloth. The photograph shows the exact notebook you will receive.

Does anything come with it?

Each notebook arrives with a limited postcard of Jennie's artwork, signed and numbered by her, along with a note from the artist.

Is the paper ruled or blank?

Each notebook lists its paper on its page. Most of the edition is ruled, and Soft Memory is blank.

How do I care for a painted cover?

Jennie paints each cover with fabric paint, so the artwork is made to last. To clean it, wipe the cover gently with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth. Avoid scrubbing, soaking or using any cleaning products, so the painting stays as beautiful as the day it arrived.

Can I return an Artist Edition piece?

Yes, within 14 days of delivery, as long as the notebook is returned unused and in perfect condition. As each cover is an original painting, we can’t accept returns showing any marks or damage.
